World cup soccer get kids to practice soccer skills, sportsmanship and teamwork with an elimination style active group game. 

Supplies

• Two soccer balls
• A large play space
• 4 cones

How to play World Cup Soccer

Place two cones on each end of the play space, this will be the soccer goal. Select two goalies.  Then split the remaining children into teams of two. Depending on the size of the group you may have up to 12 teams of two.  

Have kids spread out around the playing area. Then, on go, throw two soccer balls into the play space. Then, each team of two tries to score a goal.  The rules of soccer apply, no hands, or unnecessary roughness.

When a team makes a goal, they will move onto the next round. They move to the sidelines and wait until the round is over.  The game continues until one team remains, that team is them eliminated.  

The game starts again with every team except the eliminated team.  
Continue until you have one team as champions.
