How to Play Sleeping Cows

Sleeping cows is a great rainy day game.  You start by picking one or two players to be farmers. Everyone else is a sleeping cow.  The cows spread out around the playing area lie down and close their eyes as if they were sleeping.  On go, the farmers walk around trying to “wake” the cows.

Farmers may not touch the cows or invade personal space.  The farmers may not say any words except “moo”. A cow is awake when they open their eyes or move their mouth in anyway (i.e. smile).  Once a cow is awake, they join the farmers and try to wake the remaining cows. The last cow “sleeping” is the winner.
