What is a Spot the Difference Game?
A Spot the difference game is an activity where players compare two images and tries to find what objects have been removed or are different in some way.
How To Make your own Game
To start, decide on a space to create your game. Places like closets, crowded tables, and toy boxes are a great place to create a find a difference game. The more items in the photo the more challenging the game will be.
Locations for a Spot the Difference Game
- Junk Drawer
- Pantry
- Book Shelf
- Game Carts
- Desk
Once you decide on a place, take a photo. You will want to prop up a camera or phone using a tripod, table or chair so that the camera does not move after you take the picture.
Next, remove or add some items from the space. You will want to make six to ten changes. Write down the changes so you do not forget. Without moving the camera take another picture.
It is important that the camera be in the same position when you take both photos. You want two identical pictures with the exception of the items that have been removed.
After you a have taken the two pictures send them into be developed or print them from a computer. Now you can challenge others to find the differences!
