Supplies

• Wooden skewers
• Colored paper
• Scissors
• Hershey’s kisses
• Floral Tape
• Printable Flower Petals Template (optional)

How to make a Hershey’s Kiss Flower Craft

Before you start the kiss flower craft decide if you will be using the printable flower template or if you will be drawing and making your own petals. If you decide to use the template print a few copies on colored or white paper. If you choose white paper kids can color and decorate the petals the way they like. You will need at least five petals per flower.

Whichever way you decide to make your petals the next step is to cut them out. Then, use a wooden skewer and poke the pointy end of the skewer through one petal near the point of the flower petal. Continue until you have all the flower petals on the point of the skewer. Spread the petals out around the skewer. The skewer works as the stem of the flower. (depending on the age of the kid, you may need to assist or do this step for them)

Now that you have the base of your kiss flower created take a wrapped Hershey’s kiss and stick the pointy end of the skewer into the bottom of the kiss. The kiss should act as the center of the flower.

Finally wrap the skewer with floral tape. You can get floral tape at any craft store, or you can order it on amazon. (click here to see the current price) Start at the bottom of the skewer and wrap the green floral tape up the stick so that no wood shows through.  When you get to the top add a few extra wraps of tape to hold the petals in place.
