Alien orbit is a fun and imaginative active group game. Keep the ball in orbit and away from the alien at all costs, the consequence is alien abduction!

Supplies

4-6 playground balls

Set up

Have the children stand in a circle, these children are earthlings.  Select one child to be in the center, this person is the “Alien”.  Handout the balls to the earthlings.

How to Play Alien Orbit

When the game starts the earthlings around the circle toss the balls around to each other.  Players can pass the ball to anyone in the circle.  The goal of the people in the circle is to keep all the balls away from the Alien in the center.  The goal of the person in the center is to intercept the balls.

When the player in the center gets a ball, he or she abducts a person from the circle (selects a person to join them).  Now both players are Aliens who are trying to intercept the balls.  Again when an alien gets a ball another person is taken in by the aliens.

The game continues until only a few people remain.
