The sloppy server relay is a fun active group game that encourages hand eye coordination, balance, and teamwork with this fun relay game kid.
Supplies
- Trays – one per team
- Small balls (I like the ball pit size balls)
- Cones
Set up
- Set up the cones to define the playing area. The size of the playing area may differ depending on the age and ability of the children playing. Old children may need a larger space to make the game more challenging and fun.
- Split the players into two – four teams depending on the number of participants. Have the players lineup by team at one end of the playing area.
- Separate the balls evenly among the teams
How to play Sloppy Server
On go, the first player on the team will pick up a tray and place as many balls on the tray as they choose. They will then race down to the other end of the playing area and back, then the next person in line will go.
The trick is that the player may not touch the balls once they have moved into the playing area, and if one of the balls falls off the tray the players turn is over, they must pick up the balls and the tray and return to their team.
The first team to successfully bring the balls through the playing area and back successfully will be declared the winners.
