Get kids active with this fun and sometimes messy classic teamwork game. The Egg-cellent relay race is an active group game that encourages hand eye coordination and teamwork.
Supplies
- 6-8 Spoons
- 2 Dozen Eggs
- 6-8 Cones
- 3-4 small containers of water
How to Run the Egg-cellent relay race
Split kids into 3-4 equal teams. Set out two cones per group the same distance apart. One cone is the starting cone, the other is the turn around cone. Place a container of water near each start cone. Each team will get two spoons.
On go the first player will pick up an egg with the spoon out of the water. Then they will walk, balancing the egg on the spoon down and around the turn around cone and back. The next player will be ready with a spoon, the first player will then transfer the egg from their spoon to the next players spoon.
The trick is that no player can touch the egg with their hands at any time. If an egg falls off the spoon and does not break the player play scoop it up (without hands) and continue. If the egg falls and breaks the player must return to the container of water and scoop out a new egg, before trying again.
