Get kids thinking with Fantastic 4 a fun math game. Challenge children to to use their math brains and develop as many equations possible in a designated time. Read, Set, Math!
Supplies
- A deck of playing cards
- Paper
- pencils
- A Timer
How to Play Fantastic 4
​Remove face cards from a standard deck of cards. Then have the oldest person deals 4 cards face up and 1 card face down in the center of the playing space.
Then have all players write the 4 cards that are face up on a piece of paper and set a timer for 2 minutes. When everyone is ready start the time and flip over the 5th card.
Players then write down equations that use some or all of the first four cards that yield the number of the fifth card. The goal of the game is to have the most equations after 2 minutes.
Scoring for Fantastic 4 Card Game
- Equations that use two of the four cards gets 4 points
- Calculations that use three of the four cards gets 9 points
- Equations that use all four of the cards get 16 points
