“What’s the question” is a hilarious critical thinking activity that gets the gears turning. Kids love to be silly and this game allows them to do just that. Tap into the creative side of children while you laugh until your stomach hurts.
Supplies
- Paper
- Pencils
- A whiteboard or another piece of paper
How To Play What’s the Questions
Write the answer to a question on the board. For example, “The moon would explode” Ask kids to write down a possible question to the answer. Have them give their answer to a teacher. This can be done in the moment or you can put out a small box for kids to put answers into when they are done. If you go with the box (which i recommend) it allows you to read the answers later or whenever you have a moment of time.
After you have read the answers (and of course made sure they were all After School appropriate) pick which one you think is the best. Read off the answers one at a time and save the best one for last. Get ready for some big laughs with this activity!
Questions to the “the moon would explode” answer may look something like this:
- “What would happen if the Deathstar missed its turn”
- “What if you ate all the chocolate in the world?”
- “What if you throw a ninja star in the air?”
- “What if you a sent a rocket to the sun?
