What is Huckle Bukle Beanstalk?

Huckle buckle bean stalk is a game that encourages children to practice self control through a simple hide and find game perfect for children of all ages.

How to Play

To start ask players to sit down close there eyes, no peeking.  Hide the small object, such as a thimble or a colored paperclip in plain sight.  On “go” all players move around the area looking for the hidden object. When they see the item they return to where they were sitting, sit down, clap their hands and say “Huckle Buckle Beanstalk.” (the trick is they want to do this without giving away where the object is hidden)  The game continues until every child has found the object.   

Then the first finder will retrieve the object and hide it somewhere else in the playing area.   This game can be modified for classroom play as well.  Hide the object in a classroom and ask children to walk, otherwise the game is played the same way.
