Make your own guess who Supplies

  • A Classic Guess Who Game
  • Computer
  • Printer
  • White Card stock
  • Markers, colored pencils

Option 1; Use one of our pre-made printable templates

I have already made printable animals guess who cards and a US presidents guess who.  These are sized for the original game the cards measure 1 1/2 x 1 1/4, if that fits your game just click the link and print onto some sturdy cardstock!

Option 2 have kids create their own cards

  • Measure the card size you will need.  I am using the traditional game which requires a 1 1/2 inch x 1 1/4  inch card, but you will want to double check the size of your game.
  • measure and cut 48 card sized squares out of card stock
  • Decide on the theme you want to use with your customized guess who game. Some ideas could include; countries, animals, teachers at school, anything you can think of.
  • Give each child two cards and something to draw.  Have each child write at the bottom of the card what or who the object is, then draw it on the card, remind kids that its important the the cards look as similar as possible.
  • When all 48 cards are done, place them into the game board and get started!

Option 3 make your own guess who game with a computer

Customize your traditional guess who game to enhance your lesson plans. Create your own or use one of our pre-made printable guess who cards.
  • Measure the card size you will need.  I am using the traditional game which requires a 1 1/2  inch x 1 1/4 inch card, but you will want to double check the size of your game.
  • Open a word doc and insert a 5×5 table.
  • Left click on the four way arrow in the upper right hand corner of the table.  Scroll down to table properties and  click.
  • Under the row table click the box marked Specific height and enter the height of the card you will need, in my case that is 1.75”. Change the drop down menu from at least to Exactly.
  • Click on the column tab and change the preferred width to the width of the card you need, in my case that is 1.5”.
  • Now decide on the theme you want.  Once you decide your theme scour the internet for some photos.  Once you find one you want to use copy and paste it into one of the cells on your table. The table will shift to fit the photo so you will have to resize the image.
  • To resize the image left click on the photo and scroll down to size and position resize the image so that it is less than the dimensions of the card (1.75 x 1.5)
  • Continue until you have 24 different cards.
  • Print on sturdy card stock and insert into your game board!

Hi! Thanks for providing the dimensions for the slot cards! I was wondering if you have the size of the Draw Pile Cards the larger ones that each player gets to place on their board?
